The fleet has reported in with Taupo Maritime Radio this morning in accordance to the sailing instruction requirements to provide mandatory position reports.
The fleet is currently experiencing 25-30knot on the nose as they creep closer to the top of New Zealand.

Fleet – Monday 0530hrs
Boats will now be leaving general cell phone coverage, so we will now be relying on information provided during the position reports for exit details about what each yacht is experiencing.
The Race Management team will also attempt to contact the fleet via Sat Phone over the course of the race.
Ave Gitana, the Crowther 40 trimaran is currently seeking shelter in Paradise Bay. All crew on board are ok.

Ran Tan II continues to lead the charge on line, IRC and PHRF with 814nm to go in the 998nm race.
We should receive work from Moody Blue today with their decision on when they are likely to rejoin the fleet. It will be either today (Monday 4 June), or Tuesday 5 June.
