Teresa here… We now have confirmed arrangements for clearing Customs.
BOOK YOUR CLEARANCE SLOT NOW
You will be cleared out at the RAYC clubrooms on the morning (more or less) of Thursday 31 May.
Half-hour slots are available – please indicate your preference at the link below. 2 boats can be cleared in each half-hour slot.
Customs want to see the full crew together at one time, but if anyone is arriving in Auckland later than Thursday morning there are alternative arrangements – see the link.
It is imperative that every person departing New Zealand present themselves to a Customs official for clearance.

We’ll endeavour to give everyone their first preference, but there may be some horse-trading to allow for the inspections to take place that afternoon.
GOT MORE THAN 6 CREW?
If so, you may need the forms below, as some of the official ones don’t have enough space to fit all the crew in.
» Additional crew NZ
» Additional crew NC
FLYING UP TO NOUMEA AND RETURNING WITH THE BOAT?
The Word document below contains a template for applying for approval to travel to Noumea on a one-way ticket. We’ve already had one person get approval and it was very quick, but if you haven’t yet applied then please do so asap.

STOP PRESS: CLEARING INWARDS AT AUCKLAND IS CEASING
Customs has advised us about an important change: MPI has just decided that Auckland will no longer be a place of first arrival and you will not be able to clear in there. The change will be taking effect very shortly and will certainly affect boats returning from Noumea. Clearing out will still go ahead as normal.
Opua and Marsden Cove will continue to clear boats arriving in New Zealand.
Any questions, just ask!
